Cosmo/Exo-chemical Workshop I

Outline:
With a continuously increasing number of colleagues in Zurich and within PlanetS working on understanding exoplanetary chemistry and habitability (including bulk, interior and atmospheric composition) mainly from the perspectives of cosmochemistry, geophysics and planet formation, we thought it would be good to start a series (every half year or so) of informal 1/2-day workshops to inform ourselves about each other’s work, connect, exchange ideas and start or further foster collaborations. The workshop on 15 January 2020 at ETH Zurich hopefully will be the first of the series.

Main topics:

• Volatility trends (in the Solar System as well as extrasolar systems)
• Planet formation models investigating both the dynamics and chemistry
• Exoplanetary chemistry and interiors
  The interactions between planetary interiors and atmospheres
