Imagining an Earthly neighbour
We do not yet know whether the Sun-like stars closest to us, the α Centauri A/B binary, harbour an Earth-like planet. However, thanks to new modelling work, we now have a good sense of what such a planet, should it exist, would look like and how it might have evolved.
In search of the origins of life
ETH Zurich is opening a new research and teaching centre with a focus on exploring the origin and prevalence of life on Earth and beyond. Under the leadership of Noble Laureate, Didier Queloz, more than 40 research groups from five departments will address the big questions posed by humankind.
Welcome Philipp Huber as a new doctoral student
Welcome Philipp Huber to our research group as a new doctoral student! Philipp finished his Master Thesis at ETH more than a year ago and did two semster theses in our group, one even after he finished his studies. After a year in the private sector he is now returning at ETH to work mainly on LIFE, its simulator and error budgets.
